In the airport:
This morning, PULSAR was seen internationally as a part of CNN International’s coverage of the Shell Eco-Marathon. Further, the car and many of the team members were seen on live Los Angeles television and will be interviewed again this afternoon.
PULSAR was the first car to successfully complete both the technical and safety inspections. The team is currently finishing up some final preparations for our first test run and should be on the track shortly. We will post the results of each run as they happen, and be sure to check back tonight for pictures from the day!
The Purdue Solar Racing team has arrived at the Motor Club Speedway in Fontana, CA. We are in the process of unpacking the crate and inspecting Pulsar after it’s 1,725 mile cross-country journey. Check back soon for further updates and photos from today!
We have been busy all day unpacking, installing new tires, and getting Pulsar ready for qualifying and test runs tomorrow. Our campsite is up and the team is looking forward to another busy day tomorrow.
PULSAR has been packed in its crate and shipped to the Shell Eco-marathon. There will soon be pictures of the process in our Image Gallery and a summary video is included below.
